ALTBalaji’s Bebaakee web series has been the talk of the town for quite some time. Ever since Ekta Kapoor introduced her dream project, Bebaakee, it has garnered a lot of attention. Primarily, the unusual title and stellar Bebaakee lead cast created a huge buzz.

Before releasing Bebaakee teaser, Ekta Kapoor and some of Balaji’s leading faces, such as Erica Fernandes, Rashmi Desai, Aneri Vajani, Shabir Ahluwalia, Krishna Kaul, and Shrishti Jha took the internet by storm yesterday by talking about what Bebaakee means to them. While the Kasauti Zindagi Ki actress, Erica Fernandes shared a video saying, “Bebaakee mere liye main hun”, the Beyhadh actress, Aneri Vajani said, “Bebaakee is Passion.” Each Balaji actor explained their version of Bebaakee in a short video.
Ekta Kapoor, on the other hand, shared a video drenched in the rains saying, “For me, Bebaakee is Ravie and the Rainss!” She further added, “It’s something that is wild, that is ‘dheet’, that does not follow the norm, and that is untamed in its purest form! There’s no other word for this kind of love…but Bebaakee.” While ALTBalaji is ready to launch the first Bebaakee teaser today, the viewers are looking forward to the upcoming show trailer.
The show, Bebaakee is a story of two opposite characters, Kainaat (Shivjyoti Rajput) and Sufiyaan (Kushal Tandon). While Kainaat is a simple, middle-class woman, Sufiyaan hails from a big shot Muslim family. Irrespective of their contrasting lives, their mutual love for journalism brings them together. On the other hand, Imtiaz’s (Karan Jotwani) entry in their lives stirs things up. Apart from the lead faces, Bebaakee cast includes Sameer Malhotra, Suchitra Pillai, Mohit Malhotra, Pratik Sehejpal, Ishaan Dhawan, Aditi Vats, and many more.

Although the first look of Bebaakee looks promising, there was something else that caught the attention of the fans. Producer, Ekta Kapoor’s recent post features the meaning behind the title of her upcoming romantic drama. So what is Bebaakee? Why the buzz? Why is everybody on the internet talking about Bebaakee?
Taking to her Instagram, she captioned the post, “Some ‘love’ is not a dream come true, it’s a nightmare you can’t get over…it’s not love, it’s Bebaakee (sic)” Apart from Ekta Kapoor, the Indian OTT Platform, ALTBalaji shared an Instagram post defining Bebaakee, “Jab pyaar nidar, dheeth aur pagal bann jaata hai tab usse pyaar nahi, Bebaakee kehte hain! #Bebaakee teaser out tomorrow noon on #ALTBalaji (sic),”
