ALTBalaji is all set to launch Ekta Kapoor’s dream project, Bebaakee web series after a couple of hits in 2020. The Bebaakee release date has been under wraps so far. Initially, it was speculated that the show was likely to hit the digital platform in early March. However, the pandemic has compelled the makers to push the release date further. Bebaakee has garnered a lot of attention over the due course ever since it has been announced.
Bebaakee Cast
The primary reason for the hype related to the web series before its release date is due to the huge Bebaakee cast list. While the TV heartthrobs, Kushal Tandon and Karan Jotwani have won hearts with some of their popular work with the Balaji banner, the newbie, Shivjyoti Rajput is ready to make her debut with Bebaakee web series.
The show revolves around the Bebaakee lead cast, Kushal Tandon aka Sufiyaan, Karan Jotwani aka Imtiaz, and Shivjyoti Rajput aka Kainaat. When Sufiyaan and Kainaat cross each other’s path, they find themselves drawn to each other. However, the story shifts to a love triangle when Imtiaz enters their lives.
Apart from the lead actors, Bebaakee web series will also feature some of the popular faces of the entertainment industry, such as Sameer Malhotra, Suchitra Pillai, Mohit Malhotra, and Pratik Sehejpal. The cast of ALTBalaji’s, Bebaakee is a blend of some well-known celebrities of the television screen as well as a few debutants, such as Aditi Vats and Shivjyoti Rajput.
ALTBalaji’s Bebaakee web series was previously known as United. However, the makers changed the name to Bebaakee. With Bebaakee, Ekta Kapoor has opened doors to Muslim drama on the digital platform. It is set amidst the Muslim backdrop that primarily focuses on two wealthy Muslim families. The plot and cast of the show, Bebaakee beautifully explains that the strongest bonds are the most fragile ones. It is a story of unbreakable love, friendship, brotherhood, and hate.
The entire Bebaakee cast looked excited to be signed under the ALTBalaji banner. The popular star, Kushal Tandon who previously worked with Ekta Kapoor opens up about the show to Mid-day, ‘I chose to be a part of Bebaakee since it gave me the chance to be part of an ALTBalaji show for the second time. What really stood out was Ekta Ma’am telling me that it’s a very crazy character with grey shades and one of the best-written roles in a fictional web series. I still remember that I was in Thailand undergoing my training in martial arts when she told me that you have to do this to which I agreed immediately. I can relate so well to my character because 75% of Sufiyaan is what Kushal is in real life. Sufiyaan is one of the most exciting roles I’ve ever played, and I am sure that my fans will absolutely love it.
Another popular face, Karan Jotwani told Times, “I am thankful to Ekta ma’am for giving me yet another opportunity to work with her again. Bebaakee, the name itself sounds very profound. My character Imtiaz is very intriguing and different from my earlier characters.”
